The Awaniko Chapter meets the third Thursday of each month beginning at 1900 at the
Plaza Scout Hut, unless otherwise noted on the
district calendar.
Election for new members will be conducted January.
The call out will be held at the Jamborette (21 February 2009).
Each Troop will be contacted for a time and location for their Elections.
A scout must be at least First Class rank or higher and have 14 days and nights of camping including a long term camp. They must have the recommendation of the Scoutmaster. When voting scouts may vote for as many members as they want. The guiding question should be “who would feel most comfortable camping with”. The Troop committee may recommend one adult member. They must fulfill the camping requirement. Adults must also have something to offer the Lodge in skills or resources. The Chapter Adviser and Staff Adviser will approve or disapprove adult selections.
The Achpateuny Lodge accepts transfers from all other Lodges in the Boy Scouts of America.
Arrowmen must fill out a
membership form and pay the Lodge dues of $10.00 per year.
The Awaniko Ordeal will be held 15-17 May 2009. This is for the induction of new members and to get the ready for Camp Okinawa.
If you are an Ordeal member of the Order of the Arrow and have been in for 10 months or more, you should consider sealing your membership in the Order by becoming a Brotherhood Member. Brotherhood Ceremonies are held at the Ordeal. Contact a Chapter officer or adviser to find out how to become a Brotherhood Member or check out the Jumpstart website.
